PCD & PCBN Tools
PCD tools are cutting tools made from synthetic diamond particles sintered together at high pressure and temperature. They offer exceptional hardness and wear resistance, making them ideal for non-ferrous materials and high-precision applications.
PCBN tools are made from sintered cubic boron nitride — the second hardest material after diamond, but with superior thermal and chemical stability when machining ferrous materials.
Applications:
- Aluminum alloys (with or without Si)
- Copper, Brass, and Bronze
- Hardened steels (>45 HRC)
- Cast Iron (gray, ductile, compacted graphite)
- Superalloys and powder metallurgy components
Advantages:
- Exceptional Hardness – Ideal for high-speed and high-precision applications
- Heat Resistance – Performs well even in high-temperature environments
- Long Tool Life – Reduced need for frequent tool replacement
- Superior Finish – Produces cleaner, more accurate cuts
- High Performance in Tough Materials – Great for stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, and superalloys
